prodigy-84
Is there anything i need to do before installing iPC OSx86, do i need to install anything before so the boot 132 cd is recognised by pc's or do i need to install a partiotion using software that primes the partition so ipc can be installed? emotional friend
I don't have experience with Boot123 or iPC, but I can tell you it is helpful to create a separate partition for the OS to be installed on. Then you can use Time Machine to do backups of your OS. If you mess things up after you get it running, you can boot off your install disk and use Time Machine to rewind the system to a point before your mis-step. The trick is, your System Software must be installed on its own partition for Time Machine to back it up. Stone-D
Sounds like you're not booting from the DVD. Try pressing F8 when you boot up the PC. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/174838-what-to-do-before-installing/#findComment-1200240 Share on other sites
