this n00b again Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 is there a system restore on osx? i installed osx on my s10 tried installing graphics drivers after it updated to 10.5.7, and now when i reboots all see is a messed up white screen. Stone-D Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 DISCLAIMER: I am a n00b. - Try using the boot-flag -F, which ignores com.apple.boot.plist (Note the Capital F) - Try booting into single user mode and renaming the offending kexts. emotional friend Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 One smart thing you can do before you even install Mac OS X is to create a seperate partition for the OS. Then you can set up time machine to make snapshot backups of your system software. If you ever mess anything up, you can boot off your install disk and rewind the OS using Time Machine to a version just prior to your mis-step.
