GertjanL
When I boot my computer, sometimes it halts at this screen for a moment, and resumes when I get "still waiting for root device". Sometimes the machine just boots properly and doesn't halt at all. This is the screen it halts at: Does anyone know why sometimes it just boots properly and sometimes it just waits till the message "still waiting for root device"? My motherboard is an abit ip35 pro with ich9 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/174437-waiting-for-boot-volume/ Share on other sites
westwaerts
SATA running on IDE or AHCI? osx runs better on AHCI, so give it a try Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/174437-waiting-for-boot-volume/#findComment-1205397 Share on other sites
GertjanL
I'm already running it on AHCI. Maybe I should try other SATA ports because I've read somewhere(don't remember where) that you should not use sata ports 1 and 2 but try 5 and 6 instead.
