immediately after choosing the dvd to boot from press f8.. you should get a screen that says darwin bootlader.. type in "cpus=1" (without quotes) then press enter.. good luck!

I'm trying to install leo on this machine right now. no luck at all.

i'm using the 123-boot from the eee 1000 and 10.5.6 retail.

used the flags -x -y

i also disabled lan, wlan,...

tried the flag cpus=1...

ahci -> ide ...

the install-dvd stops at: 'MAC framework successfully initilized...' etc

any ideas from the pros?

UPDATE: now with iDENEB 1.4 (10.5.6) the install works. but when i'll start osx, it still stops at 'MAC framework successfully initilized...'

Used 9.5.0 Voodoo-Kernel and some kext.

Not sure, I'm having the same problem. There are reports of X running on other EEE pc models, so I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm running the 601 bios. Like you, my iDeneb install went smoothly but my machine freezes at the same point in the reboot.

It could depend on the Apple ACPI-Kext's. So there is a Howto here in the forum. Try to replace them with 10.4.8-Kext from JAS-Install-DVD and report here your sucess, maybe. I'm not at home to try this now.

Hi,

this tut works great:

I'm writing now from my 1005ha under iDeneb OSX 10.5.5. will try to update to 10.5.7 and will get my wifi to work. everything else is running perfect.

Hey Mike could you tell me what is working/not working on your 1005HA? Pictures? I'm trying to decide between a Dell Mini 10v or a Eee PC 1005HA id like to go with the eee but i heard the webcam is slow? Not that i would use it but maybe im just picky. Anyone else... Dell or Asus? =] thanks if anyone replies

Its your decision, i can only say that I'm happy with my eee. only sound and the update from 10.5.5 to 10.5.7 will not work for me. but I'm working on it. The real problem is wifi, but I think there will be a solution in a few weeks.

Ahh I see. Hmmm i guess ill have to make up my mind soon i like the sleekness of the Eee over the mini 10v. The wifi would bother me tooooooo much. I had that problem with my last hackintosh but I ordered a broadcam card for it. Well hopefully someone somewhere finds a solution. Thanks for the reply

In case someone is still interested in a workable method of OSX install (on the eee 1005HA)you can go here http://smallcomputing.net/2009/02/25/how-t...1000he-netbook/

This tells you almost all you need to know. I also had to delete all the partitions except the XP one (it would not boot to Mac otherwise). Then I created a fat32 partition (leaving me with the XP and the fat32). I then installed iDeneb 1.3 (the only one that would work) and have updated it to 10.5.6 (I don't see the need for 10.5.7).

Wifi and Ethernet are not working, I ordered and external USB wifi card.

The only issue I have with it is that when I start a new project in Garage band (09) I can not see the bottom of the window and cannot shrink it so many of the features are unavailable. Anyone have a fix other than using an external monitor.
