asapreta
Hi all. I´ve been here for a while (since 10.4.1... and all that stuff) and am able to run MACOS X x86 on my rig. But of course I saw a lot of other options like EFI, EFI Strings, BOOT-123, Chamaleon, and I never could really understand why and what for I should use one of them as there are a lot of info here on the site related to it, but nothing focused on it, if you understand me. I´m not a noob on OSX but really need some guidance on this, as the title says, to make OSX run the best on my RIG! I intend to do a small upgrade (mobo-processor > Gigabyte Board and Core2Quad) in a few months, but now I have: Asus P5WD2 Premium Pentium D 920 @ 4 Ghz 4 GB DDR 2 Memory Lots of Sata HDs... Intensity Capture Card Pioneer D115 (on the Blue IDE connector - Intel) GeForce 9600GT 512MB (ECS) Samsung 2263UW And I´ve just installed 10.5.7 (iatkos) and everything is running (on this machine everything always worked, I had previously a x1600XT videocard) but I dunno if I can run better, eg. Update without problems (meaning: if I use one of the mentioned options/boot I can have a better macos?) Hope you guys understand me, and sorry, today my english is not that good.
