Hi all, I'm using iPC 10.5.6 with the Voodoo Kernel 10.5.6 and everthing is working pretty well. I had to get a separate network card the Netgear one that works plug-and-play (Can't remember the model). My system specs are as follows,

CPU: Q6600 2.4Ghz Quad Core

RAM: 8GB 800Mhz

HDD: 320GB

MOBO: Asus P5N-D

GPU: Asus EN8800GT 1GB

With a little messing around I got most of the hardware working nicely, now I've got a few software related issues.

One of them is, leopard doesn't ask for a password at login. Even when I set it to ask for one when waking from sleep or resuming from screensaver. A little annoying as it's not very secure! Also I can't seem to wake it when I put it to sleep, keyboard and mouse (Both USB) don't respond and the power button or restart button fail aswell. I need to hold down the power button to force shut down.

Something else that I've noticed is odd, it never lets the screensaver come on! I really don't want burn in.

If anyone knows a solution to these problems I would really appreciate it if they could share them! I'm gonna keep looking through the forum as well.

Thanks

Tacketh

PS sorry another question, is it possible to move my Mac installation onto a bigger Hard Drive without having to reinstall everything? Thanks again!

1) You need to disable the automatic login function the account system preferences.

2) Sleep varies from motherboard and kernel usage. Look around the forums for people who have your mobo and see if they can help you.

3) Do you have the appropriate graphics drivers for your card. If it is not QE/CI enabled then you won't get a screensaver

4) Carbon Copy Cloner: http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html

1. Thanks that seems to have got my password prompt working!

2. Yeah I'll keep looking

3. CI is Hardware Accelerated and QE is supported, but still my screensaver won't come on after 3 minutes. It works when I test it and when I assign it to the top left corner of my screen and move my mouse there it comes on (But it doesn't prompt me for a password even though the setting is on).

4. Thanks that's exactly what I need!

Thanks!
