applehacker Posted June 27, 2009 Share Posted June 27, 2009 Is there a driver available for this sound card? I bought this laptop online, and I am preparing the necessary kexts to have. The laptop is ICH9, with the ALC888s codec. Which kext should i use, and will i get GUI volume change (you know, when you click volume up or down, you get the popping noise and the little volume pop up) Thanks in advance! Wilz Posted October 30, 2009 Share Posted October 30, 2009 The only thing i got working was the VoodooHDA kext, but internal mic didn't work and i never tested digital out or line in. You have to remove applehda and hdaenabler don't forget. Rikoshet Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 I solve the problem! I have Snow Leo x64, audio working but EXT mic, internal ok, all ok! Speakers/HP autosensing, and with second kext even autosensing beetween mic and line-in! I only have a lot of Sound Assertions on boot, but Iam happy to not have to use an external sound card or ext mic or else! my topik!
