iCore
Hello all A friend of mine has just installed OSX on his Asus eeePC 1000HE netbook. As the factory wifi card was not working with OSX due to a lack of drivers, he changed it for a Broadcom one. (I don't remember the reference, but it is the same as the original Apple Airport card) So his new card is working fine with OSX, but only at a strange condition: He must enter and exit (making no change) from the Bios setup page. If he does not enter the bios, the card is not working. If he hit F2 at boot time, then exit the bios, then the card is working. Any clue on this very strange behavior ? He have the latest bios revision from Asus (0802) Thank you for any help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172404-strange-wifi-behavior-on-a-eeepc-1000he/ Share on other sites
tasteh
hi, i am having exactly the same problem. swapped out the wireless card a month ago for the broadcom BCM43 series airport extreme card and now it is only recognised when i enter and exit the bios. is there any fix for this? i see the stock wireless cards are now supported, at least for snow leopard... thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172404-strange-wifi-behavior-on-a-eeepc-1000he/#findComment-1314001 Share on other sites
