DaveTNT
I used the iPC 10.5.6 final on my desktop pc (mobo asrock 4core-sata2, geforce 6200 tc with nvdarwin 256). I use the voodoo kernel 9.5.0 I've to boot with the cpus=1 option. But the real problem is that at the first boot, after the video and the "registration", the OS hangs on a blank light blue screen. (I think it's the desktop). No icon, non bar, no everything: just the mouse. Please help me Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172264-no-desktop/ Share on other sites
WaldMeister
What video output are you using? HDMI/DVI/VGA? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172264-no-desktop/#findComment-1185710 Share on other sites
DaveTNT
What video output are you using? HDMI/DVI/VGA? Thanks for your attention I'm using vga. Do you think it's a graphic card problem? (the welcome video plays well without lags) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172264-no-desktop/#findComment-1185732 Share on other sites
Beerkex'd
If your video card has another output try that. If it has a DVI port but you can't use it with your monitor, try using the DVI-VGA adapter that came with your video card. If that doesn't work for you, try installing again but don't pick any video drivers or injectors under custom installation. You can fix the video later. Thanks for the info, had the same problem using hdmi, only dvi is working. Do you install pc_efi or chameleon aswell? If so, leave it at first, having problems to get the graphics going with the Ipc version and chameleon. (Geforce 9500GT) Leave the bootloader, and only install the nvdarwin afterwards. DaveTNT
done as you suggested (with no video driver) Now Leopard boots and everything is OK. But how can I make my graphic card (Nvidia geforce 6200 tc) work correctly? How can I install the appropriate driver? The welcome video played with no lags when I installed nvDarwin256. WaldMeister
I would install the nvdarwin at first. If it doesnt work, try the nvidia installer: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78980 This would be the best solution is suppose. Cant find anything on the 6200. Beerkex'd
Last I heard, Nvidia video cards with shared memory (Turbo Cache) don't work with OSX. Someone please correct me if that has changed. Beerkex'd
The question is why did you install the same injector again when you knew it wasn't working... Try another one, there are plenty to choose from. Use the search to find them. NVEnabler ATY_init NVKush Titan/Natit CoreVidia (used to be called NVDarwin) Also try typing 6200 Turbocache into the search box. MGJulius
After reading in the forums I think Titan should work for your card, however some people are having problems with resolution changes Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172264-no-desktop/#findComment-1186089 Share on other sites
