starobrno1 Posted June 20, 2009 Share Posted June 20, 2009 Asus Z8NA-D6 looks like it could be something for a dual quadcore build, if it works with osx I don´t know. Has anybody here tried it yet? It´s a server mobo, maby not the best config for a music computer. It has no fw but there is a pci slot so it should work with a pci fw card. If it works imagine with two Xeon E5520 Cpus man what a computer you would get, and so cheap compared to a dual quadcore mac pro. starobrno1 Posted June 27, 2009 Author Share Posted June 27, 2009 Seems absolutely strange nobody even thought of what these new servermobos could mean in terms of getting closer to the prestanda of a mac pro. Yes sure the i7 cpu is great but this means two of them in the same hack since the 5500 is the server edition.
