robval
Is there anybody who have succesfully install front row with the enabler of andrew escobar on the Jas OSX 10.4.6 ? And if yes, what's the method ? I'm a bit dispointed because I've read carrefully the explication, but without any success. Thanks a lot, and excuse me for my poor english. and of course thanks to JAS for this DVD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17151-front-row-on-jas-1046/ Share on other sites
domino
Don't use andrew escobar's enabler. Just install the application contained in JaS' archive. Might want to also update to the latest front row also. robval
yes with a usb wireless keyboard and mouse I think it might be possible. The only thing you need is the id of your mouse (id product and id vendor) this is the Kyrie1965 method from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=10470 What do you need? - Hackintosh with 10.4.4 or 10.4.5 - Installed FrontRow. You can find it at Mac OS X Install Disk 1 > System > Installation > Packages > .packages > FrontRow.pkg. You can install it with Pacifist (it is free http://www.charlessoft.com/ ) without any installer checks. Use "Finder > Go To Folder" to open hidden folder (.packages). - any USB mouse (!) - FrontRowPass driver (it is absolutely legal simple mouse HID driver with sweet candy). You can download it at http://www.yuriev.info/FrontRowPass.kext.zip How to ...? 1. Open System Profiler and and check your USB Mouse ProductID and VendorID (Hardware > USB). 2. Convert ProductID and VendorID to Decimal (Calculator > View > Programmer). 3. Open FrontRowPass.kext > Contents > Info.plist. And change idProduct and idVendor (decimal value). 4. Copy FrontRowPass.kext to /System/Library/Extensions 5. In Terminal sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/FrontRowPass.kext 6. Test it with sudo kextload -v System/Library/Extensions/FrontRowPass.kext 6. Remove Extensions.kextcach and Extensions.mkext in /System/Library. 7. Reboot. 8. Hooah, comrades! Native FrontRow on your Hackintosh smile.gif. After that you can use Front Row with keyboard, Salling Clicker device or any other that support Front Row. pat_ty
Thank you so much, robval, for your information. However, I really have no idea how to install FrontRow.pkg with Pacifist. Should I just click the .pkg file and then click install? Akueikyou
Thank you so much, robval, for your information. However, I really have no idea how to install FrontRow.pkg with Pacifist. Should I just click the .pkg file and then click install? Move the file to the "Pacifist" active window, and then select the option: install.
