I have been using OS X for 2-3 months now and it is working flawlessly and very quickly.

Sound is working in stereo mode and all is graet except for video <and graphics in general>

I am using Nvidia GeForce 2 mx/mx400 (64mb) and the latest driver from macvidia.

When I switch on a video at normal size <small> it works relativly good, but when I make it any bigger

it starts to shutter and becomes almost unusable. QE and CI are not supported. I think that this is because my card is old.

I want to buy a new graphics card but don't know which one to choose. I want one that will have smooth video playback. Is radeon 9600 a good choice or what is the best choice?

Your help is greatly appreciated....

If you don't want upgrade ur motherboard, then 9600 is a good choice.

Otherwise, GMA950>GMA900>X1600>X300SE=9600.

I definitly will not update my motherbord because it is a dell and I think it is too valuable.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I have one more question... will this card have smooth video and DVD playback?

<<I have tons of videos on my computer and on dvds>>

I have a x300SE graphics card, It supports QE/CI automatically.

This card also has smooth video (Divx, real) and DVD playback.

As I know, 9600 is even better than x300SE.

I bought the ATI Radeon X1300 yesterday and it supports resolutions. Now my os86 runs flawlessly. No artifacts anymore. I did have the X300.
