Booting off of DVD or booting after you installed? If you are getting it after installation, try booting with '-x'. If you can get in, it's probably the bad video drivers causing this. Delete everything starting with ATI in the /System/Library/Extensions directory. bender12
Don't install with -x, boot with -x when the boot loader comes up, hit a key... and then just type -x and hit enter. I've tried turning off my bluetooth, my wlan, pretty much everything thats loaded in the bios, and it still hangs on that last part. I've seen similar problems with people usin the new dell XPS Gen2 laptops, which makes me think its not the graphics card. the boot loaders comes up to the apple white screen when i run safemode but then a gray screen comes over and says i have to restart. thanks for all your help. john Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1712-boot-error-please-help/#findComment-10912 Share on other sites
bender12
Sorry, I don't know what else to tell you. You're using the deadmoo installation? If you tried the bootable dvd, does that boot up/install? It just tells you that you can connect another computer and debug the (probably) kernel panic. Boot with debug=0x100 and see what it tells you.
