typhoch2
Hey I got this Laptop and now it runs perfectly with all Things except of the intern WIFI Card, but I've got a USB Stick from Linksys, wich works perfectly. The Wifi Card is in Progress you can look here Now the Specs of my Laptop: Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 @2.0Ghz 3GB DDR2 @800mhz nvidia 9200M GS 256MB video card Generic IDT Sound 320GB Sata HD Intel 5100agn WIFI Linksys Wireless-G USB Adapter Soo lets getting started What you need: iDeneb 1.4 10.5.6 (search for it, or send me PN) Graphic driver Ohter Drivers Now we are ready to start: 1. Put the DVD inside and boot it. After that there is for sure no HDD to install on, instead of you have formated a partion before. Go to Disk Utility option in the top menu bar and create the new partition for MAC to live on, and format it to the standard journaling partition. 2. Click on Customize button before you install and select the following options: iDeneb Essential System Patches 10.5.6 Ready -> Audio -> IDT -> Chipset -> ICHx Fixed -> Fix -> AppleSMBIOS -> AppleSMBIOS 1333 -> Fix -> BatteryManager System Utilities -> GenericCPUPMControl Applications -> ALL 3. Now you have to wait for the install. When the installer starts to check your Disk press skip, this would make the installation faster. After the Restart in the End put out your DVD. Then you have to go in the boot option F8 o startup, because your mac would start, but you won't have a picture. In the Boot Menu type "-s -v" this will bring you in the single user mode without gui. if everything is ready loadet you have to type "/sbin/mount -uw /" to get the permission of removing things and not only reading. (sometimes it doesn't work with this action, you have to type it again) Now you have to remove 2 kext files First, after you have the permissions type "rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/NVDAResman.kext" and after that "rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHPET.kext" Now type "reboot" The next time you type "-v -f to show verbose mode and FORCE the OS to reload everything in it's cache (since you deleted those kernel modules above). Now your Mac boots up with a crappy Graphic, but Audio works. Add your Account and your are on the desktop. Now go to the Application Folder/ iDeneb App -> Kext Helper b7 After this put in the 4 Kext files from the Graphic Driver and the 4 from the Drivers Zip this should be this ones: ClamshellDisplay.kext AppleAHCIPort.kext IOUSBFamily.kext IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext Geforce.kext NVDANV50Hal.kext NVDAResman.kext NVdarwin.kext Now after that reboot and boot up normally. Now your Graphic should look wonderfull. Now you can install a profile for your display to let it look like a macbook pros. The file is in the drivers.zip MBP__2007_06_18_22_15_.icc.zip Now go to Library/Color Sync / Profiles / and copy the file inside. After that go to your System Settings / Displays / Color and select your Profile. That's it your ready! Now what does work? Hmm I didn't test everything, but I think there is nearly everything working Graphiccard Webcam Micro Touchpad USB LAN Audio in general and so on... What doesn't? Burn CD/DVD WIFI CARD I hope this will help you for installing OSX on your HP Pavilion:) I will update this article if I found a working driver for the Drive and for the Wifi Card.
