Fairlyodd
Thanks to all of the tutorials..lol it does pay off to pay attention! JAS version OS X 10.4.6 was a breeze to install once I stopped trying to load both updates..lol I had to step back and and look over some of the great tutorials on this blog and the second try (purely by luck and a very good guess) the OS loaded flawlessly. To my amazement everything worked! Video, audio, net, usb, wireless....ect. Downloaded the latest update from Apple including the new Safari 4 and the system is running smooth as silk. Needless to say I kicked bloated Vista to the curb for good, no more issues with spyware, viruses, and blue screen terrors! And to think I loaded it on a basic system without any pricey bells or whistles. This OS is truely amazing! Okay enough of the yadda yadda.....I am having a ball playing with my new toy. Oh yeah, almost forgot..system specs are as follows...and don't laugh guys it runs like a top on this thing, hell my $2,000.00 system does not even come close to being this fast running Microcrap! Asus P4800-E Series 1 Mobo 800 MHz FSB ATI Radeon X1650 Video Card 512 MB RAM Realtek ALC850 8 Channel Onboard Audio Intell P4 3.6 GHz Prescott Single Core CPU Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet Controller 4 Gigabytes PC3200 DDR clocked to 320 MHz See... a very basic system and very cheap I may add. Okay time to have fun! Thanks again guys for all of your help! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/170567-goodbye-vistahello-os-x/ Share on other sites
