Specifications of samsung q210: Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2 GHz Nvidia GeForce 9200 m gs Chipset: Intel PM45 + ICH9M Realtek ALC262 HD Audio The rest is insignificant, but if somebody needs more information, here is detailed specification -> http://www.trustedreviews.com/laptops/revi...o-2-Notebook/p5 EDIT : A lot of changes - the last post explains my current situation. gazepo Posted June 10, 2009 Share Posted June 10, 2009 First of all you have to remember not to install more than 1 driver per device. For your chipset install only ICHx. If your system is SSE2 / SSE3 then select voodoo kernel. As for the restart you can also select the restart/shut down fix. If your system is SSE2 / SSE3 then select voodoo kernel. Did not change a thing. still the same problems. As for the restart you can also select the restart/shut down fix. I said i chose that fix! So, still these problems are, well, problematic. Anybody have some tips/solutions/anwsers? gazepo Posted June 11, 2009 Share Posted June 11, 2009 OK. Boot from dvd for a new fresh installation. DO NOT add any drivers or fixes, but ONLY kernel and chipset. It seems to be a VGA error, but need to be confirmed. When the installation ends it will reboot. Pull the dvd out and leave it boot from HD with -v. Report here. Netaro Posted July 4, 2009 Author Share Posted July 4, 2009 So, i decided to wait till next osx86 distros appear instead of playing with these now-old distros. Now, I'm playing with iAtkos v7, and I'd say I'm ipressed - almost everything works as it should! The two remaining problems are - 1: I'm using the laptop mentioned in the first post - Samsung q210 which has Nvidia geforce 9200m gs video card and intel ihc9 chipset. It works, although i can't change brightness. To add something, i have this weird feeling that it works somewhat slow. I've used Natit and CoreNvidia drivers. What to fix it? 2: How can i remap some of the buttons on the keyboard? Well, i have Polish Programmer's keyboard layout setting, and it goes on like this - usually, to write polish diacritic, you'd press alt and the letter you want to write. But the alt is set thato windows key. So, i'd like to remap that so it would have the desired effect. How? And a small thing that I'd like to get working - I have Logitech G5 mouse. How can i map the navigation buttons to forward/previous page in safari/firefox and for previous/next folder in the file explorer (dunno how that's part called here, somebody tell me ?)? And another small thing that'd be useful - how can i set delete key to move to trash? What kext did you use for the audio? I have the same audio controller and installed iATKOS just fine, but have no sound.
