archer75
When I use the search function it returns and error so i'll just ask here. What is the advantage to running boot 132? I know I can just use a retail disk but is it really any different to using a iatkos, ideneb or xXX i'm using now with only couple of kexts that I need? Is there a performance advantage? I only load the ALC882 kext. My network has always worked out of the box. And for my video card I only need to add an EFI string so that's easy. I always use the vanilla kernel and whatever bootloader is on the disc. Nothing beyond that. I have no issues with updates now. I just run a script while I install the combo update and all is well. My system is 10.5.7 but the performance is lacking. Maybe that's just OSX, I don't know. I see that I can run boot 132 off of a USB drive. Maybe that's the way to go.
