orellius
Hi, Search doesnt seem to work on this forum for me today. I tried scouring google and went through many pages here but can't see anyone with the same problem. Can someone try to point me in the right direction? I'm trying to dual boot with Vista x64. I know all about the partitioning, setting boot flags, etc. I install OSX and no matter what I try, it simply resets the PC. On boot I see the Apple logo for about 1 second, then the PC resets. This repeats indefinitely. I tried using -x -v -f as some websites say. I tried using ICHx fix option, tried both iDeneb v10.5.6, and iATKOS v10.5.5. PC: GA-P35-DS4 mobo E8400 core2 duo 4 GB ram SATA 320 GB main drive 2x 500 GB SATA mirrored raid X-Fi XtremeMusic card ATI HD 4870 512 MB graphics *I know there never used to be support for 4800 series cards, apparently there is support now, but the website where I saw the driver downloads seems dead. http://www.insanelymac.com/2009/03/finally...ore-i7-support/ Problem is, I can't even boot into OSX to install the driver. Help? Cheers, and thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/169580-ga-p35-ds4-constant-rebootreset-using-idenebiatkos/ Share on other sites

gazepo
1. if you need to search the site use the google option type in search box site:http://www.insanelymac.com/[space][what are you looking for] 2. restart loop=wrong kernel or not installed at all and remember to install the right chipset driver. orellius
Thank you for the response. I finally got it to boot by using a different kernel. I had left it default like so many guides out there mention. I think it was 9.2.2 SSE3 or something. It was on Vanilla before I guess.
