Sleep not working when lid closing

Hi!

First of all, thank you for reading and thank that people who posted a lot of solutions in other topics. Thanks to insanelymac I fixed my battery meter and my wifi, also my ethernet (wired network)

But something I couldnt find was about this:

 

If I upgrade my system from 10.5.3 to 10.5.7 it stops working, so I will have my .3 until my death.

 

If I try to close the lid of my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525), it just turn off the screen, but everything is still working. It doesnt go to sleep.

If I try clicking Mac -> Sleep... It doesnt work either! It makes a kind of "splash"... it turns the screen to black and then turn it on again. It is really aweful, and I know you might know how to fix it.

 

Also I have other problems... when I plug in mouse or Flash Pen Drive, it doesnt work, the mouse led is working and makes stronger if moves... (sry for my English ! hope you understand this)... But if I plug them when system is starting (like after boot bios), everything works in Mac... Strange, but there must be a kind of "windows plug & play" thing for Mac...

 

And about the sleep thing, I think it happens sometimes, not always...

Not anymore, I had tried rebooting, relaunching Finder, everything, but still no solution :/

I go to Apple -> Sleep and it turns off the screen, and like it was going to sleep for ONE second, but after that it wakes up magicly.

 

Also I tried to sleep screen when "sleep select" but it is the same worst thing.

I found some kexts here at insanelymac but just "half-fix" thing.

e.g. after all, my cardreader ricoh from inspiron 1525, my ethernet, wifi, battery meter, usb are ALL working. But only when I plug each/them at booting.

It is not a "plug and play" thing :/ I'm sure there should be a solution
