  1. Bluetooth: Broadcom 2045 Driver/Kext

Hey rygu, can you share your kext? I got the exact same BT dongle, but after modifying all product and vendor IDs, is still not working. I got the error BTCoexistence feature not supported! in the sudo dmesg I really appreciate this forum's people
  2. BCM2045 Bluetooth device on OSX

could you share your info.plist ? I made those changes in product ID (vendor was same), but didnt work, meaning it says no bluetooth hardware
  3. The fact is that the solution is so close to us, but we cant see it. I think, name, product and vendor ID must match. Only product ID doesnt match. The original kexts comes with vendor ID of this Bluetooth and the name (Broadcom 2045)... but for some reason, beyond the vendor ID mismatch, it is not working...
  4. Hi there. I have a Broadcom 2045 bluetooth dongle but it wont work on Mac OSx 10.5.3 everything works great except this usb dongle. (my Dell Inspiron 1525 doesnt have built-in usb) As you may know, product and vendor ID are on hexadecimal, I convert them to decimal, to know the values, and edited the Info.plist on: /System/Library/Extensions/IOBluetoothFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/BroadcomUSBBluetoothHCIController.kext/Contents Because of vendor Id matches, I just changed the product id to match. But after reboot it doesnt work, and while booting, with -v, no error found about bluetooth. So I don't know. It is probably a mistake to change the kexts info.plist like that, but I dont know programming kexts in xCode, so I wont do it. But i need some Mac Kexts or Drivers for it!! I forgot to say that when I plug my dongle the light turns on permanently (blue led). And Mac prompts Keyboard Setup Assistant... :S help Anyone has an idea?
  5. BCM2045 Bluetooth device on OSX

There is already a topic started, at http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...&pid=585505 But no body has solution for this hope any kext programmer make a file for us :$
  6. bluetooth broadcom 2045

Could it be possible to have a solution for this? Thanks. I am using an Insignia Bluetooth Headset, but my Dell Inspiron 1525 doesnt have integrated bluetooth, and the USB that came with the headset, seems not to work in Mac OSx Leopard 10.5.3 I don't know but when I plug it, it turns the light blue on (I mean the one that the USB little thing have, I dont mean the one of the laptop corner). And Mac asks me about a new keyboard... :/ I dont know what to do! I tried to research but broadcom is not giving anything for Mac! And Linux and Mac have differents functions in the terminal, so I cant follow a linux installation guide... Come on, isnt anyone connecting things to laptop though bluetooth usb with his/her hackbook ??? I can't believe the few topics about this. Regards!
  7. usb plug and play not working in iATKOS

Hello everybody, I am having issues. USB only works if plugged since booting... And after loading everything if I unplug and re-plug my mouse, obviously it stops working. I read something about the kernel version, osx version and system.kext version. I am running Mac OSX Leopard 10.5.3 kalyway with Kernel 9.2.0 and System.kext 9.2.2 Could you please help me ? THX A LOT.
  8. Intel GMA X3100

    Man! You are kinda-god. Thanks a lot. Worked really nice on Dell Inspiron 1525 Hackbook OSx 10.5.3 Kalyway. Love you! <3 &mac;
  9. Sleep not working when lid closing

I found some kexts here at insanelymac but just "half-fix" thing. e.g. after all, my cardreader ricoh from inspiron 1525, my ethernet, wifi, battery meter, usb are ALL working. But only when I plug each/them at booting. It is not a "plug and play" thing :/ I'm sure there should be a solution
  10. Sleep not working when lid closing

Not anymore, I had tried rebooting, relaunching Finder, everything, but still no solution :/ I go to Apple -> Sleep and it turns off the screen, and like it was going to sleep for ONE second, but after that it wakes up magicly. Also I tried to sleep screen when "sleep select" but it is the same worst thing.
  11. Hi! First of all, thank you for reading and thank that people who posted a lot of solutions in other topics. Thanks to insanelymac I fixed my battery meter and my wifi, also my ethernet (wired network) But something I couldnt find was about this: If I upgrade my system from 10.5.3 to 10.5.7 it stops working, so I will have my .3 until my death. If I try to close the lid of my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525), it just turn off the screen, but everything is still working. It doesnt go to sleep. If I try clicking Mac -> Sleep... It doesnt work either! It makes a kind of "splash"... it turns the screen to black and then turn it on again. It is really aweful, and I know you might know how to fix it. Also I have other problems... when I plug in mouse or Flash Pen Drive, it doesnt work, the mouse led is working and makes stronger if moves... (sry for my English ! hope you understand this)... But if I plug them when system is starting (like after boot bios), everything works in Mac... Strange, but there must be a kind of "windows plug & play" thing for Mac... And about the sleep thing, I think it happens sometimes, not always... Best regards!
  12. Force battery detection on a notebook

I dont have AppleACPIPowerSource.kext in my appleACPI kext contents... Running Mac OSX Kalyway 10.5.3 on Dell Inspiron 1525 without battery meter :$ I wanna have it. Tried to find where is an step by step method, but tried a lot of things and none worked. The thing is I dont have the "show in menu bar" option... !!!!
