sm01
Is there a virtualization app that doesn't require VT? I guess my C2D doesn't have it. I would like to boot my Vista x64 partition from within a VM. VMware won't boot the 64-bit version of Windows for some reason, Parallels needs VT, and Virtual Box needs VT. There's gotta be some virtualization program that doesn't need VT... VMware doesn't need it for 32-bit guest OS. All products require Intel VT-x for 64-bit guests. What is your C2D processor? It may be just VT-x is not enabled in the BIOS. sm01
It's an Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 2.00GHz. There isn't anything in the BIOS that says anything about VT . sm01
So there isn't ANYTHING I can do? I guess I'll just have to boot into Windows whenever I need it... You could create a completely virtual guest, so you can keep dual boot capability. sm01
Ehh, I'll pass on all this. I don't use OS X that much anyway, but when I do, I wanted to go into Windows without rebooting. Making a new install of Windows is not an option.
