RezaAbidi Posted May 30, 2009 Share Posted May 30, 2009 Hi folks..please help me out, im getting stressed out and feel like killing someone anyways, heres my laptop specs..http://www.gateway.com/product_spec.php?product_recid=529668141 alright, when i try to install kalyaway, 10.5.2 during the middle of the installation, its stops and it says, COULD not activate 'mediafiles" please check with the product software..wth??? has this happened to any one?? During the iPC 10.5.6 installation, everything does smooth..But when i i boot back, for 1/2 second it shows the blue screen and then it goes black.and thats it... and the itkos version, its stuck on the spinny circle after the installationa then a X comes on which means its not working... blacklabel1783 Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 could be wrong, but try this: boot with : -s type: /sbin/fsck -y /sbin/mount -uw / cd /system/library/extensions rm -r -f /AppleIntelGMAX*.* mv ./AppleIntel*.* / then type "reboot" w/o quotes see if that gets you to the apple registration screen. gazepo Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 From what I have read in the forum when you get the black screen screen after reboot the problem is on the vga drivers-kext. Try some search and you will find which is the best for your vga.
