so im downloading XxX 10.4.11. Seems as if this version is liked by a lot of people because of the patches and whatnot. Hopefully this one will be functional. I couldn't even boot into the iPC 10.5.6. The only version that works for me right now is iDeneb 10.5.5. No sound and no internet which is quite a bummer. I'll let everyone know how it goes after install. fyi i'm dual booting windows vista and osx86. with chameleon boot loader.

well just tried XxX 10.4.11 with no luck. it boots the dvd but freezes on loading the installer. im going to try XxX 10.5.6 hopefully this one will actually boot and load the installer. Unless anyone knows if there is some driver out there for intel wireless wifi 5100. after i get it to work then i can work on that and get the sound to work while surfin on leopard itself instead of switching back and forth between windows vista and leopard.

so i downloaded iatkos 10.5.6 i believe, however i am not positive. i got it to boot into the dvd with the flag -f, installed perfectly first boot didn't work very well since keyboard wasn't recognized. i had to boot with flag -f again and it worked perfectly fine. still no audio or internet. i'm trying to work on this. I would love to have audio and internet working.

my update. sound officially works!!! yayayayay. ok now for the things that still don't work. ethernet. nor does the wifi work but i did find out that someone is working on a program that will make this work hopefully it will be out in the next few days.

oh i went back to ideneb 10.5.6 v4

i updated with the ideneb 10.5.7 combo update. first boot didn't work out so well. i read that if i had the voodoo kernel that i had to type "voodoo" when i was booting up. which i did and leopard just restarted. so i thought i was screwed. i then hit f8 after the restart and typed in the flag -f and it booted perfectly fine. everything works from the previous install. still waiting on a hack for the intel wifi 5100 driver but i have found someone who is making a work around. I really do appreciate it "pjmiller" anyways i'm off for now. later. and if anyone has any questions about getting their sound to work let me know. i have gotten it to work because of a helpful friendly insanely macr

im gonna wait to agree on this with you. I know there probably are people out there working on the wireless 5100, stated by pjmiller. Its just a matter of time. I will just have to do my research. if i don't see anything in 2 weeks i will go out and buy the broadcom card. is it an internal card, usb, or plug 'n play card?
