But, according to Windows and BIOS, my CPU is 2.93GHz ... Why the vast difference? And what do all the letters beside "CPU" features (other then SSE SSE2 and SSE3) mean? brendankoch Posted May 6, 2006 Share Posted May 6, 2006 Ya, system profiler doesn't work correctly on some configurations. It shows my processor as 1.5 ghz when it should be 2.8. There is no performance difference, thats just what it shows.
