grendelkhan
VMWare and Parallels both run slow as molasses. I have an Asus P5KPL-VM paired with a Core 2 Duo E6550. Vanderpool is enabled and SpeedStep is disabled. Running vanilla 10.5.7 kernel. What am I doing wrong??? grendelkhan
haha maybe you have just gotten used to the speed of OS X? try fiddling w\ the options; dedicate more RAM, put the virtual hdd file on a faster drive, dedicate more than 1 core to the machine. I found that adding just 512MB onto an already 512MB gave it an exponentially faster speed on my mom's iMac. In VMWare it takes 30 minutes to boot, I've tried playing with the settings and I get the same result. Likewise Parallels 4 it stops and starts.
