  1. Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem and it's driving me up a wall.
  2. I also suggest booting in verbose mode and you should see the R1000 ethernet device pop up. You may need to go into network preferences and readd en0.
  3. If the R1000 kext has loaded the last thing to try is: rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist reboot and then go into the network preferences and readd the en0 adapter.
  4. Had similar issues with Inspiron 1525 - solution was to remove the SL IOATAFamily kext and replace it with the Leo one and then force it to boot into 32 bit mode.
  5. Static on screen after waking display from sleep

My son's hackintosh gets this too. Do you have a HannG monitor by any chance?
  6. Also, I recommend for the install, click on the options screen and get rid of everything but the base OS and Rosetta. That solved the "some things did not install" error for me.
  7. Yup, that was the same chip I had on my son's board and that driver above is what I did to fix it. Download and install the R1000 kext from my link above. sudo -s cd /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ mv AppleRTL8169Ethernet.kext AppleRTL8169Ethernet.kext.old mv AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext.old Make sure to clear out your Extensions.mkext, then reboot. Once I did that everything worked and it booted way way faster.
  8. Yes, for my one PC the problem was the network card. Do you have a Realtek NIC? If so, go into the IONetoworking kexts, and remove the RTL plugins. Then install this kext:http://www.psystar.com/opensource/r1000 Reboot and enjour Bonjour.
  9. I have the Chameleon RC3 binaries on my desktop, and my disk was listed as disk0 in diskutil list: Gossamer:~ grendel$ cd Desktop/Chameleon-2.0-RC3-r658-bin/i386/ Gossamer:i386 grendel$ sudo fdisk -f boot0 -u -y /dev/rdisk0 sudo dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdisk0s2 sudo cp boot /
  10. I just finished the last pc in the house upgrading to Snow Leopard, and this last machine has a problem. It doesn't see any of the other machines in the house. It sees the windows pc's, but not the Macs.
  11. I blessed the drive manually using the Chameleon RC3 binaries. I didn't use the installer.
  12. X3100 doesn't work in 64 bit mode

    That's what I thought, thanks!
  13. When booting my Dell Inspiron 1525 in 32bit mode, everything works great, CI/QE are fully supported. But when booting into 64 bit, I get 1024 X 768 VGA graphics. Has anyone had any success with this graphics chip in 64 bit mode? If so, what did you do?
  14. PS2 not working on Dell 1525

I use this instead of the VoodooPS2 and everything worked out of the box. dellps2.tar.gz
  15. How to know if CI/QE is enabled ?

If your menu bar is translucent it's enabled.
