I've been trying to install ideneb 10.5.6 on my amd 3200+, gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 mobo, with 1 gb ram and geforce 6600 256 mb. It has "successfully" installed, but it won't boot into it. I'm currently running windows vista ultimate. Its a crack so I'm not sure if thats what stopping it from booting. I changed my bios to boot first to the os x hdd but its bypassing it for some reason. I tried installing zephyroth 10.5.2. I had it on my system a while ago, but it was buggy. I tried installing it again to see if that would even work, but that wouldn't boot. At the time I had it working, or at least booting, I had a real copy of xp on my desktop. Does anybody know if vista is causing the problem or does anybody know a solution hopefully. This is very frustrating. I NEED HELP. PLZ Anything.

Does the boot menu appear, but when choosing to boot it does not boot, or it is not booting at all and showing no boot menus?

It goes through a cycle of things real quickly.

It says booting GRLDR...

Resetting the boot drive...

goes through a bunch of code, then it goes to grub4dos and has:

windows vista

windows nt/2000/xp

enter command line

then auto boots into vista

it looks like os x isnt on the grub menu, how can I fix that?

Where do you have OS X installed? Let me assume you have installed it on your computer harddisk (meaning no other external hardisk) and Mac is on the third drive (not C, not D but E), then boot to the command line and try the following:

title Mac OS X

root (hd0,2)

chainloader +1

Note: if you have Other harddisk or have Mac on other drive, you have to change the number in (hd0,2), for example:

if you have Mac on internal harddisk number 1 and installed on fourth drive, then use (hd0,3)

and so on

if it was not successful, tell me on what harddisk you have Mac installed and on what partitiona and maybe I can help you.

1- Enter command line.

2- Type the following:

title Mac OS X

root (hd1,0)

chainloader +1

3- Reboot.

what command line? when i have the disk booting and it asks me to boot or write code or something. I'm confused

I mean, that when you come to the boot menu, you said that three options are available:

Windows Vista

Windows XP

enter command line

right?

now, choose "enter command line" and write the following:

title Mac OS X

root (hd1,0)

chainloader +1

Hope this helps :)
