Hello everybody..

I was running iDeneb 10.5.6 Vanilla, and have updated from directly update software from apple....

After update, i´ve moved AppleIntelPowerManager.kext and Don´t Steal Mac OS.kext ...

Then put my kexts (wireless Realtek 8187, PowerManager..)

All run fine...But an issue is:

If i try to boot normally, without any flags (-x, -v, -f), when mac logo(circle engine) appears, i´ve got KP (You need to restart this computer. Hold power button..) ...

When i try to boot with -v to see whats crashing, there aren´t errors, and boot gone fine...

I already done some adjusts, like repair permissions, from extensions, from diskutil, remake Extensions cache...

Disabled all suspicious kexts (like wireless, airport, or anything that can cause an crash)...

I´ve tried to clear all system.log then boot without flag to see an crashreport on log, but its not appears on logfile...

I have an VIA 8237 Chipset, VGA VESA on 1280x800, Audio-Azalia, VoodooPS2Controller, Synaptics Trackpad Controller (from Voodoo), all run fine, and now i´ve added the -v flag to default boot..(com.apple.Boot.plist).

Any idea?

Thanks in advance..

(Sorry for bad english)

i've just had a similar problem, but when i booted with "-v" i did see a error, it was the AppleHDA enabler in my EFI/Extra folder. i removed it and my system booted just fine. should be simple enough to make a new enabler for 10.5.7.

Solved. Thank you man...

I´ve installed Chameleon2 RC1, then removed AppleHDA.kext and Azalia, and now i´m using VoodooHDA.kext ..

Boot was normally without any flags.

Thanks again.

Regards.

Instead of the AppleHDA enabler, I use VoodooHDA, which lets me avoid the enabler in addition to it supporting all the same chipsets as AppleHDA (and a few AppleHDA does not, such as most, if not all, recent nForce chipsets, such as my own 630i).
