bricamac Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 Hi, I have just upgraded my Dell D430 to 10.5.7; all is allmost ok but I didn't succeed to reinstall the sound. I have try to re-use the old methode that working with the 10.5.6 ( using Dell Lapost Post Installer V1.4.1 and reinstall sound driver for Sigmatel 9200 sound card).... Here is my codec dump if you need it although not very sure if our machines are compatible. You need to use the HDAPatcher app -at least in my case- to get the sound working: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...aded&start= Open the app and drag and drop the .txt file in the window, you will need to do this a couple of times before it works correctly, don't ask me why. Remember to repair permissions after each try, and before restarting make sure you have dumped the .txt file on the app a couple of times. Good luck!
