New to hackintoshing, haven't built one but have built my own hardware for 10+ years. Anywho, i've tried to search but i'm unfamiliar with how to search threads individually (maybe a lil help with that). Anywho, here's the build i was looking to do:

Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P

i7 920

6gb DDR3

EVGA GTS8800 320 (already have this card)

if anyone can give me some info or point me to some already posted i'd be most grateful.

Yeah I just used this board in a rig about a week ago. Everything works well; if I had any gripes about it the onboard sound could be a little easier to get working 100% (ALC888) but I think that's true for most.

And how did you make the sound working fully?

I only can make it run in stereo.

Is it actually possible to do this:

1) boot OS X Retail 10.5.6 via BOOT-132 CD with voodoo9.6.0 or vanilla 9.7.0 on it.

2) install

3) after booting into the OS, update to 10.5.7 and use vanilla kernel

?

Or do you really always have to use two physical hard drives or another OS X computer to set up your i7?
