    10.6.6 released

I had to remove sleepenabler. I got KP. I rebooted with pmVersion=0 and then removed it. Good luck guys.
  2. Hey guys. I have a smooth running Leopard on an EX58-UD4 with core i7920. I cannot figure out any method on how to upgrade it to SL. I cannot seem to find any boot 123 image to boot SL. If anyone can contribute with guides or suggestions would be great! Posted in wrong place. Please someone move it to osx installation. Thanks!
  3. And how did you make the sound working fully? I only can make it run in stereo.

    Help with ALC889A audio codec

How did you get the audio to work? Which kext did you use? I have a UD4P and I can onl get the sound to work in stereo only using ALC888 installer.

    ALC889A on EX58-UD4P Sound problems

Did anyone managed to ionstall the soundcard on this mobo? For me it only works with ALC888 patch and only in stereo mode. I tried the kext from EX58-UD5P but none work.

Can I update kernel using MacDrive

Well I gave up the idea. I finally got a copy of iPC 10.5.6 I installed it with no drivers just a few patches and booted ot with busratio=20 and cpus=1 flag. After instalation I updated with original 10.5.7 using netkas method and voilla! It works. I couldn't setup my motherboard sound to work on more than stereo although I guess there should be something for ALC889A or ALC888. I am confused though since my motherboard is UD4P and I read on many posts where is wrotten many codecs for this audio. With the package from iPC for 889A it doesn't work, only using the ALC888 but this way I got only stereo. I also have a BFG GTX 260 I installed using netkas' gudies, the driver package and injector and it works flawlessly. Any help on audio?

Can I update kernel using MacDrive

I will give it a try as soon as I get home. The problem is that I don't have internet access yet to download an original 10.5.7 backup and try with boot123. For now I have to try other solutions. The MacDrive solution came to my mind and I would like to try it. iAtkos 5i doesn't boot with voodoo, fassl kernels and -v busratio=20 cpus=1 flags either. I do have a Macbook Pro and I tried to trick in trying to restore the system from TimeMachine. Leo started to boot , no kernel panics, but during boot the process stopped at some VPN service and remained blocked. I will keep this updated in case someone is interrested in how it ended up.

Can I update kernel using MacDrive

Hmmm. All I need is to be able to boot somehow in Leo and then I suppose I can run the updater. All I want to know if this is possible to achieve.
  9. I have a core i7 on a UD4P and iAtkos 5i installed which is not booting due to a kernel panic error. I was wondering if I can update the mach_kernel from Windows using MacDrive and then boot in Leo and re-run the whole installation from the update from Apple using the normal "script" update in order to fully update the OS. Would this work? Or what other files do I need to copy from the update pack? I extracted the 10.5.7 combo update using Pacifist. I understand that 10.5.7 now fully supports nehalem CPUs. I'm sorry but I'm a liitle noob in this job so any help is so appreciated. Thanks

AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

Man... I have already given up on full working audio with AD1988B and Leopard. I don't think anyone will actually make this soundcard work... I think I'll go back to Windows though I hate doing that.

    10.5.2 Audigy 2 ZS

Nope! Not true! Creative soundcards will NOT WORK on MAC OS X. There is only one external soundcard - on USB that works on MAC. Everything else...it's a no no no. If I'm wrong then please send me those drivers if you find them! I wish......

If you have a USB Mouse just have another PS2 mouse plugged in! For me it worked only this way with my PS2 Keyboard. Good luck!

AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

It's been such a long time since I dreamed of having surround sound on Leopard... I don't think we will see that soon. I have a P5B-E motherboard with ad1988 and 7.1 speakers and I am only using 2 of them.... Maybe one day....... maybe......
  14. Well it works when I add a PS2 mouse. This is strange. Now I boot using a PS2 mouse so that my keyboard will work.
  15. Aldos - what version of Leopard are you using? iAtkos or Kalyway? I am using iAtkos and I cannot seem to get my PS2 keyboard working in any way. If I delete and replace AppleACPIPlatform.kext I get a kernel panic and if I replace the other kexts with yours my keyboard still doesn't work. I'm a little bit angry with this 'cause it keeps messing my brains. My mouse is on USB and they keyboard on PS2. Any ideeas???
