baseballer10p
I recently burned a copy of iPC and am having problems booting from the DVD. This is the version i have: iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Universal PPF5 (Final). The Apple screen comes up with the X over it, which I've read means there is a hardware problem. Here are my system specs: Asus A8N5X, AMD 64 X@ 4200+ (Socket 939), 4x512GB Corsair DDR 400, EVGA 7600GT 256MB, an IDE 80GB hard drive, and a lite-on IDE DVD Burner. DennisNL
AppleNForceATA: warning phy connection failed. status=0x00000000 Seems to be an error with your NForce graphic device. Try to install it without NForce driver. baseballer10p
How would I remove the driver? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165854-ipc-patched-ideneb-not-installing-asus-a8n5x/#findComment-1152864 Share on other sites
DennisNL
How would I remove the driver? Not. Try to reinstall Mac OS X without installing the graphics. Install it after you've installed Mac. baseballer10p
I'm not sure how to do that. When I boot from the DVD, I can either press any key to begin the startup, or F8 for options. EDIT: Ok, I tried doing: -b AppleNForceATA but I'm not sure if that's what I'm supposed to type. Anyway, I still get the apple with the X over it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165854-ipc-patched-ideneb-not-installing-asus-a8n5x/#findComment-1152873 Share on other sites
baseballer10p
anybody? here's what I've done now. I've patched the iso with this: iPC_v1.1_PPF. I've also tried using iDeneb 1.4 for 10.5.6, but to no avail. I really don't know what to do. Can someone please help me out with this? I really have no idea how to do what DennisNL said. I've googled like hell trying to figure it out, but there's no site that tells you how to do it. baseballer10p
bump i've been told on another forum that I need to "inject a storage driver into your distribution." can anyone tell me how to do that? gazepo
It is not the Graphics. It is the chipset driver for your nVidia chipset. I am having the very same problem.
