Hi everyone,

To make a long story short, I got windows XP and OSX working well. When I started my computer, DOS was always letting me the choice to choose between XP or OSX. My problem is: I installed Windows 7 and my OSX partition doesn't work anymore. Is there anyway to make it active so I can choose between Windows 7 or OSX. I remembered that in XP to make a partition active, I need to go to DOS and do something with Disk part... list disk... Is it the samething in Windows 7.. and what I need to do because I don't really remember.

Thank you

If you have a Linux LiveCD (any) use cfdisk from a terminal (as root, obviously). Cfdisk calls an active partition: "boot".

I recommend this distribution for partitioning and similar:

(In fact it is a small live desktop which can do much more than partitioning).

I don't have linux.. is there any problem with windows?

It was just a suggestion.

I thought you might want to try something new and different, which you can download for free, burn to CD for a few cents and which has many more features than expensive, proprietary utilities (you can always pirate them, of course, but why do that when you can have something better for free, legally?)
