mactogo
After several, several steps I've finally been able to boot OSx86 and am presently posting it on this installation. However, I still boot via the platform=x86pc and in -x (safe mode). I'm still trying to get the system to boot in normal mode but really don't know where to start. Can anyone recommend a systematic method of doing it? (e.g. start in safe mode, remove xxxx file first, apply xxxx patch, examine kext files) The forums are filled with a wealth of knowledge but can be confusing and even misleading for a beginner such as myself. That said, i'm fairly OK with my system under safe mode. I've got a working lan, I have a USB disk drive and hard drive that can be recognized, I was even surprised when I stuck in a bluetooth USB dongle and it too seems to be functioning! What doesn't work are sound and video resolution seems OK but no QE(whatever that means). After applying the maxxus patch 0.4(thank you!), itunes and all other apps seem to load ok but safari still seems to crash evry now and then. I'm still trying to load out of safe mode but don't really no where to start. When the screen boots up in -v the screen moves very fast its hard for me to follow exactly where conflicts may be occuring. What's the next step?
