kernel panic when plug in USB

hi guys, i've encountered a problem.... whenever i plug in a pendrive, or other usb products, the screen will look like this:

Below are the details:

 

MacOSx86 version: iDeneb 1.4 10.5.6

Kernel: Voodoo

CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600

RAM: 4GB 800mhz kingston

MB: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3 ver2.1

 

any help?? thanks

First off you should be using Vanilla kernel with those specs. Second, http://lmgtfy.com/?q=leopard+kernel+panic+mounting+usb I believe it's the same as the dmg mounting issue, has to do with seatbelt.kext. You need 10.5.5's seatbelt.kext.

hey thanks for the quick reply. but when i install using vanilla kernel (did not check anything under patches-kernel right?) i get a cross sign when apple is loading (apple logo).

 

i've tried several times using different kernels, and i'm sure the vanilla kernel of ideneb makes my pc fail to load apple.

 

 

btw... voodoo kernel does not harm my pc rite?
