OtisWild
Hi, I just received my new rig from Newegg, and I'd like to hackintoshify it.. Here's the gear: * DFI LanParty x58 core i7 board, no firewire * Core i7 920 * 3x2GB OCZ PC12800 * 2x1.5TB Seagates (on sale, will firmware patch if I have to) * Sapphire 4870 1GB I put in the iPC OSx86 10.5.6 beta DVD burn, it gets to the text boot page and shows a bit of loading module action with -v, but the host just spontaneously resets... I've got Ubuntu Jaunty installing on it, but I'd love to blow it away and reformat as pure hackintosh if I knew this rig was supported... Is there a "lazy f--k" installer for Leopard? I have the retail DVD already, but if there's an easy peasy installer for this combo I'll get that.. I did try searching the fora, but the insanelymac hampsters appear to have the vapors, every other click is a database error... TIA! Eddie Turfboer
As far as I know i7 is not supported by OS X just yet. Use google with site:insanelymac.com at the end.
