So my configuration is:

Motheboard msi 648 max on sis 648, here is the description, sorry, I've found it only in russian version

CPU p4 2,4 nortwood, 533, socket 478

Video g-force 5200pro 64mb, also msi.

512 ddr

modem zyxel omni usb adsl ee annex a

2 pci ethernet links: d-link (is it important what chip are they based on?)

It seemes to me that's all. What else to say? I've no sound, and i can't fix that problem, no choose of video options (only 1024x768, smth like 85gz), no connection with othe local computers, computer can see only bluetooth connections, no internet. So it's a pritty looking interface, but i can do nothing there! I've remebers first palms. =)

I'd like to add that I've no chance to uprgade now.

1. what sound card does it have? this may be fixable. need more info.

2. MacVidia beta driver will give you more resolutions with that card.

3. yeah need to know exactly what ethernet cards you have to give any further info or advice for network.

a check of the wiki's HCL pages might get you going as well.

It seems to me my integrated audio is "Avance AC'97", if more information is needed tell me how to get it, please. =)

I already have some progress with vidoe, but it works only on 85Gz on 1280x768 instad of 100Gz in windows, and even .avi-s have too much delay. =)

D-link DFE-530TX or DFE-550TX (is it enough?)

I'l surely look through wiki's HCL pages.

10x 4 advice!

Your audio is the Realtek ALC650 chip.

Refresh rate has nothing to do with framerate on videos.

LAN should be Broadcom 4401 or 5702 for the onboard port. Not sure about your PCI cards.
