sid4life
Hope this inn't to newb of a question, but been dealing with this for a little while and reading every thread o this card for months and unable to find a solution. I have an ATI X1600 installed with the iDeneb 10.5.6 drivers. Everything works except I will often get these artifacts. It happens sporadically, but will always occur on programs such as Plex (which is why I used a Plex screenshot) Any ideas as to the cause or a possible solution? sid4life
Tried the MacLovin 71c2 driver install and that doesn't help either. Same issue on both DVI and VGA.
turbo1poin3
I have the same issue, those artifacts get on my nerves. I've read that either the power supply is not providing enough juice or the card is getting hot. I have a Dell with a 305 watt max capacity, replaced it with a 350 but still get artifacts. I'm going to replace the fan on the gpu and put a cpu heat sink to see if that helps. I'll let you know how it goes.
turbo1poin3
Hey, it seems I got rid of the artifacts on my x1600. I put a heatsink from a dead xbox 360. I used the original fan although it seems a little small. Everything worked like a charm....so far. See pics.
