Every time I try to watch a clip from Adobe TV, mu ADSL router disconnects and reconnects again, but if I try again with Adobe TV again, same thing happens. You tube is working fine. And on Windowz Adobe TV is working, problem it is just with OS X. Router is Huawei Echo Life HG520s

It drives me nuts... I can't watch tutorials for flash, and I installed OS X mostly because Adobe CS expirience. It is so much better and easier to work than with windowz.

Anyone? Please :D

Could this be because of LAN controller kexts? I have asus P5Q-E mobo with two marvel GLAN controlers. I am using kexts from iDeneb install DVD. Any help please...

This restarts router every time. On windows it works fine and on linux too.

This problem still persists. I don't know what to try. I used ethernet kexts for P5Q Deluxe (it has sam NICs)from here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=137296

But Adobe TV always restarts router. I try some clip like this and router reboots..

What can I try?

I accidentally found out what's the problem. (But not the solution :( ) It is Adobe Media player. I tried to play downloaded .swf file from lynda.com and, Adobe media player was opening it, and ruter restarted again. And file did not play. Now I deleted Adobe Media player from /Applications/Adobe folder, and now adobeTV do not restart ruter. But clips do not play either, it locks on start of the movie and when I click play nothing happens.

And I have one biger problem now... No sound on you tube. I don't know if is related, but yesterday there was sound on you tube, now same clip do not have sound. When I restart in Linux, sound is OK. I think that sound issue showed up little before I deleted tha Adobe Media Player (it was orange icon with movie tape) so probably is not related with first problem.

Oh, I forgot to mention, sound works fine within OS X system and .swf plays fine with VLC (when .swf file is downloaded) but I dont know how to play online .swf files which can't be downloaded.

Any thougts?

10.5.8, Asus P5Q-E here, Adobe TV works fine in Firefox.. Don't know about the Adobe Media Player. I didn't even know there was one until now.

About youtube not working right, try reinstalling Adobe Flash and Shockwave. Make sure you get the Intel versions, not PPC!! The online installer at Adobe seems to have trouble detecting the CPU type properly..

I'm using a hand modifed (device ID added to the 88E8053 entry) vanilla Yukon2.kext with the 88E8056, the 8001 LAN port is not installed as I could never get skge.kext to work properly. My router/firewall is a cheap D-Link DIR-100.

But if everything else is working fine for you (surfing, downloading) I don't think the problem is with the driver.. still it shouldn't be rebooting your router, that's strange.

Me too, I did not know that Adobe Media Player exist until damn thing opened downloaded .swf on double-click and restarted my router in the process. Then this thread flashed through my mind :( . I still use iDeneb v1.4, did't update. I decided to stick with 10.5.6 until Snowy. The skge.kext works fine exept this issue.

I tried reinstalling flash player (intel version), it was still same. But this morning, sound on you tube miraculously started working again :( (unrelated with reinstaling flashplayer, that was before). Adobe TV still don't work. It seems I only encounter very strange problems with OS X. I might try with 10.5.8 in a few days... can you send me that modified .kext for network? I tried updating to 10.5.7 once, but end up losing network and could not fix it. Do both of Ethernets ports work for you?

Thanks for help

I just installed Adobe Air and the Mediaplayer and everything seems to be working fine here.

I don't use skge.kext, so no, only the 88E8056 is working. Here's how to get it work in 10.5.7 and above:

I've attached my DSDT.aml for you. It has this fix in it:

P5Q_E_DSDT.aml.zip

Technically it works, just not well, skge.kext is old and I think in need of a major overhaul.

But maybe you can find some other drivers for the 88E8001.

On 10.5.6 and up, skge.kext causes 'family specific matching fails' errors for every single device on the P5Q-E during bootup and that can't be good. Those messages go away if you don't use it. Maybe there's a way to fix it, I don't know.

I gave up trying because I don't need the other port for anything. I just went with the port that works best, which is the 88E8056.

I don't know which LAN PCI card would be the most compatible, make sure to research a lot so you don't throw your money away.

Personally I use a cheap D-Link router to connect to other computers that find their way here.
