Since the Quadro FX 4800 is based on the GTX 260, does this mean we will soon have working drivers for the GTX 260? This card is supposed to already be working on Snow Leopard...

look at memory bandwidth and size(compare to gtx260 with 448-bit memory bus and 111 G/s), it clearly shows card will use 384-bit memory interface and 1600Mhz ddr ram clocks.

defected parts for 2k$ ?

Unbelieveable! You're right!

Well hopefully one can use a GTX 260 core 216 instead - better performance for much much cheaper! Since now there must be drivers for the GT200 series in Leopard...

I agree with you, they almost share the same specification inside and even in the same design, I am wonder if will be supported in 10.5.7 as well...

Everyone Knows or should know that the graphics processors you find in workstations versus what you'll find in consumer graphics cards for highend gaming have very little difference between them. the Quadro FX 4800 is only different from the Drivers, support, and displayport connectors found on the Quadro vs Geforce GTX200s a simple bios mod can make a Geforce GTX200 card into a Quadro i hope support comes in 10.5.7
