JesseGray
OK, so I followed the instructions outlined here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...=0#entry1134835 I have been playing around with clock speeds. I am running EFI v9 with 10.5.6 (latest release). My i7 920 is running at 4.0 GHz. However, when I change the cpu speed up, it speeds up time. How odd is that? I'm sure there's an easy fix for it. I just can't find it anywhere. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/162696-clock-running-too-fast/ Share on other sites

JesseGray
quick fix : don't change the cpu speed well i don't know , but i'm sure if you search here you'll find your answer greetz very funny. I actually put everything back where it should be. No cpu speed change at all. And, I've looked here. The only similar problem I can find is one back in 10.4 where there was a kernel problem. I haven't done anything to the kernel. I'm using voodoo. adhir
Did you ever resolve this? I'm seeing the same thing on a P6T with an i7 920. On this system, the clock is fast even with no overclock. This occurs with both kernel versions 9.6.3 and 9.7.0. diddl14
Did you ever resolve this? I'm seeing the same thing on a P6T with an i7 920. On this system, the clock is fast even with no overclock. This occurs with both kernel versions 9.6.3 and 9.7.0. Just discovered I have the same problem with my P6T-SE. Think this also explains all the "IOHIDSystem::relativePointerEventGated: Capping VBL time to 20000000 (was 22347506)" entries in the system log.. Anyone found a way to keep the clock running the way it should? diddl14
Update: solved via Chameleon v2. New "automatic FSB detect" feature does the trick. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/162696-clock-running-too-fast/#findComment-1193418 Share on other sites

I have everything setup properly in the smbios.plist running PCEFI105 Evidently I'm not alone! See this post!
