savestheday
Hi all, I've got two hackintoshes up and running (see sig). They seem like they're running perfectly but I'm wondering if I need a DSDT patch. I keep reading about these DSDT patches but I can't really get an explanation on how to create them and in what situations they're needed. I'm also wondering if a DSDT file would fix a problem I'm having. The box for ‘Restart automatically after a power failure’ is missing from the Energy Saver preferences. I've read that may fix any sleep issues. Any help would be very much appreciated! kmare
Sleep should work fine on retail 10.5.6 with these boards w/out DSDT patching (I am on UD3P) DSDT may have some benefits down the road with respect to the onboard lan and sound (ie: reduce instability and # of addon kexts) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/161901-ga-ep45-ud3p-ga-ep45-ud3r/#findComment-1131795 Share on other sites

kmare
NO button for me, but sleep is fine without it. Make sure you have the absolute minimum non stock/vanilla kexts Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/161901-ga-ep45-ud3p-ga-ep45-ud3r/#findComment-1144279 Share on other sites
