Captian Adam
Hi there. I live in Japan and am looking into the following mobo: GA-EP45T-UD3R I would like to use this mobo in order to utilize the DDR3 memory that I already own. Has anyone heard/read anything about compatability issues with this board? Here is a link to the specs page: Click here. Any help would be very appreciated. Cheers, Captain Adam Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/161818-ddr3-mobos/ Share on other sites
Scottapotamas
Hi, I have a GA-EP45-UD3, which is simmilar, DDR2 though, and it works flawlessly. There are people floating around here who have got the EP45-UD3L LR and variants working... The UD3... are all small variations, so i don't think that will matter. I presume that everything would be good as long as you give it a nice NVidia vid card and intel CPU. I also see that the proposed board and mine have the same chipsets, audio and north/south bridges. I think that you are fine... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/161818-ddr3-mobos/#findComment-1131358 Share on other sites
Captian Adam
Hi there. Thanks for the response. I'm still up in the air about the board... I would like something with triple channeling, but I may compromise based on price. Thanks again for the advice! Scottapotamas
Price was an issue for me too... I was looking at the same board, until I found out that it was around 60% more expensive, and for that extra cash, i could get a new processor...
