Hey everyone,

Well after booting and installing Leopard 10.5.6 retail, everythings fine HOWEVER!!

On the little "Setup" thing while leopard sets up my new system, it fails to reconigise my keyboard built into my Inspiron 1520laptop,

This is a URGENT case, please please tell me how to fix this, Ive tried using a USB keyboard but it doesnt work,

during the installation i noticed the keyboard didnt work yet the usb mouse does work...

EDIT:

I've figured out my BIOS reconigses my keyboard/keypad built to my latop, but LEOPARD does not reconise it at all.

please PLEASE help me, I need to do an assignment due in 3 weeks for a law assignment and would really appreciate it if someone could help me!

The problem is that usb not working in couple of laptops. I installed IPC 10.5.6 on HP 6720s and keyboard, touchpad not working at start. I tried to do smth but... nothing helped. Then i've installed iDeneb 10.5.6 and all working except usb which made a kernel panic when I connected usb devices. I decided problem with usb by refreshing usb drivers - first step then installing proper kext - second step. In your case I recommend you to chose different builds (iDeneb is the best on that moment - working fine on 4 different PC and 2 laptops). Or trying to install Tiger. Try iAtkos, IPC_OSX, iDeneb (10.5.5 or 10.5.6) or other. Sure that keyboard will work on one of them. :)
