megab
Hi everyone! So I've been trying out to install OSx86 on my D610 for several days. The first distro I tried was IPC 10.5.6 following this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=152377 The only problem is that I have a weird error saying the CD is corrupted. I tried about everything but I always receive the same error. Then I found the XxX version, and with the Paper Clip trick everything is looking good. The only thing is that I'm not sure what options I should choose (since it's quite different from IPC). Oh! and did I forget to mention I'm a noob in the mac os world. My first try is only with the 9.5.0 Kernel + seatbelt.kext. I'm stuck wih the Still waiting for root device...I guess i'm not selecting the correct options. Here's the specs of my laptop: Dell Latitude D610 Pentium M 1.86GHz Audio: Sigmatel 9751 (AC97) Wireless: Intel 2915ABG I dont't care about wired network Thanks in advance!!! MGJulius
You got the still waiting for root device because you didn't install the appropriate chipset driver...
