Dr. Watz0n Posted April 8, 2009 Share Posted April 8, 2009 Most likely a problem with your laptop's display, not the OS. I had a similar problem on an old Dell Latitude laptop from ~2000. The LCD was essentially broken. Fixing it usually involved punching the monitor any number of times until it disappeared .
