glonq
I've heard that it's tough to get Xcode and/or the iPhone SDK working reliably under vmware. Does anybody have this working well? Got any noob-friendly tips for how to pull it off? I've got VMWare 6.5 on a Vista32 box. Intel core 2 duo. Tried XxX distro. Works fast, but I'm too dumb to get ethernet working. Tried PCWiz vmware image. Slower than hell, but ethernet works fine.

Donk
How did you even get vmware working? I either end up with broken networking (XxX distro) or broken performance (pcwiz distro). What did you use? I have the SDK installed and working in VMware. However I don't have any physical devices attached, only using the emulator.

Donk
Good nuff for me, Donk. How'd you do it? Setup using my VMware retail Leopard templates here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=139178. Then installed SDK and works for me. However make sure your host PC has enough memory (I have 3Gb in the laptop) and that you give about 2Gb memory to the virtual machine.
glonq
Thanks. Retail leopard works well enough, or would any specific distro work better?

DrunkenDonkey
using iDeneb 10.5.6 performance is almost native, only when some big animation is played I can feel the lack of video acceleration, everything else is up to the speed. I want to go try retail leo tho
