Hello people,

first of all I want to thank you, that there exists a forum like this ;)

Second: I am a total newbie. So please be patient and excuse me for silly questions, I try to do my best.

Third: Sorry for my bad English. I'm from Germany and they don't teach you to talk about special computer-words at school :D

Okay, now to the problem:

I have a Dell Precision M60 Laptop, with Centrino 1,8 GHz, 1 GB RAM, a nVidia Quadro FX1000 Go Graphic Adapter and integrated Network/WLAN.

And I have successfully installed 10.4.5. But I have problems with graphics and network. Network is not connected and myy Display only works with 1024x768, which is not a good resolution for my widescreen display (streched). Okay, I heard, that integrated network is not working correctly. But I got from this forum, that there are nvidia beta drivers. I downloaded the beta2 driver with an installer, but after installing that thing, I had a black display. I tried the volume-buttons and heard the volume-beep, so I know that the system was working, only my screen was black.

Have anybody an idea for what I could do? I don't know if the nvidia beta2 driver was the right for my card and I don't know another way for installing them. I found a different post where it is explained how to install the driver manually with console. But I think there are some basic things about mac os i don't understand. I don't know where to put those kext-files or how to edit them and all these things (I mentioned it: I'm a totally newbie). Is there nowhere else an installation-guide for dummies? Or am I totally wwrong and there don't exists any driver for my quadro fx1000 go? ;)

Please help!! :blink:

Thank you!!

:blink::blink:
