Hi,

I would like of course like you all, install Leopard on my Hackintosh.

I did download the Kalyway 10.5.2 and the iPC_OSx86_10.5.6 images.

Both they give the waiting for the root device notification.

Both happens after the firewire security check ( I dont think the ' waiting for root device' have to do something with that firewire line ).

My configuration:

Mainboard : Gigabyte GA-EP-45-DS3P

CPU : Intel Q6600 QuadCore

RAM : 8Gb Kingston KVR8002N6K2/4G

DVD : IDE Apple DVD -R/-W

DISK :

1 Sata spinpoints HD301 1Tb

1 Sata WD 2500AAJS 250Gb

1 IDE WD 120Gb

1 usb WD Sata 80Gb 2,5"

Graph Card : Asus EN7300GT Silent

So my guess is that the Bios need some changes.

Does someone knows what the setting should be for Sata?

Now I am using

Sata Raid/AHCI Mode : AHCI

Sata Port 0-3 Native mode : Enabled

Is there a specific guide/tutorial for the EP45-DS3P?

I did google but couldn't find any.

Thanks in advance,

Hello everybody.

I also did download leo4all and ideneb ( forgot the exact name ) but all of them did give the waiting for root device. This al happens during booting from the iso ( burned on dvd ). Is there some information about this board and what I could change inside the iso to get leo installed?

I did see this board in the motherboard list that this board should work, but..... not for me unfortuniate.

PLease help needed.

Thanks in advance

Hello All

I didn't get a install dvd running. Always waiting for.....

Then what I did was install it on an IDE drive on another mac.

Did connect this drive with an USB - IDE cable to my hackintosh.

At that moment I could only boot from that drive in safe mode.

I did figure out that this was my graphic card.

Did remove NVDAResman*.kext files.

Did use Universal Installer to set the graphic card settings.

Then I could start in a normal user mode.

I have still a few issues.

One of them is IDE.

I have JMicronATA installed but stil don't see the IDE drive and IDE CDRom.

And I noticed that I have installed

/System/Library/Extensions/JMicronATA.kext

/System/Library/Extensions/AppleKauaiATA.kext

/System/Library/Extensions/AppleKiwiATA.kext

/System/Library/Extensions/ApplePCCardATA.kext

/System/Library/Extensions/KeyLargoATA.kext

/System/Library/Extensions/ApplePCCard16ATA.kext

/System/Library/Extensions/JMicronATA.kext.orig

/System/Library/Extensions/ACard6280ATA.kext

Maybe those and others are to much and do I have a conflict!

Does someone have an idea or suggestion?

Thanks in advance
