j0s3ph
I'm building a new comp with an Intel DQ45CB mobo and I can't find any info on its compatibility with OS X. Anyone know if it works or not?
Zaap
According to this Geekbench score, it should work. In my experience, some Intel boards work perfectly, but most work with the exception of a few components, usually LAN and possibly audio. But since both can be replaced with PCI and USB solutions, as long as everything critical works, it's good to go. If you already have the board, can't hurt to give it a try. gaansan
I'm building a new comp with an Intel DQ45CB mobo and I can't find any info on its compatibility with OS X. Anyone know if it works or not? Hi, I'm just trying that with iPC x86 PPF5 with vanilla kernel, seems rock solid with parallels desktop and Win XP. This board comes up very nicely. The only thing I miss is Sleep. I tried a lot but no way. I tried sleep with Vista and there it works just to make shure that it works. Would be nice to fix this. DQ45CB, (Bios: Sata in ACPI mode) 4GB ddr2 800, Core 2 duo E8500 Asus GF8600 GT 512MB >> NVdarwin 512MB Onboard audio >> voodooHDA.kext Chipset Intel ICH10 ethernet not tried but installed Intel 82566MM/DC ZyXel USB G202 dongle (Zydas 1211 dmg) patched USB driver (a must) AppleSIMBIOS-27 rev3 800 after first install I used DSDT GUI patcher and Uinstaller

gaansan
Question for msba how are you progressing? I still reiterate that DQ45CB is rock solid and since I`m trying lots of things to fix sleep I just do no know where to grasp. I tried DSDT patcher lots of times various kexts (which in the past cured sleep)...SMBIOSes... My knowledge in ACPI, ASM and OSX are just not enough. And with all this trying till now not one kernel panic My MSI Wind U100 OSX 10.5.6 sleeps like a charm, but I still cant` figure out how to fix this in the DQ45CB which in Vista work`s perfectly and in OSX goes to sleep but then does re-boot on wake up. IF You have any thoughts...

FLX_EI
I installed Snow Leo(10.6) running on an Intel DQ45CB with GTX 285 Graphics Card. I used the USB Retail Installation method with Chameleon 2RC4 on a small partition and the OSX Reatil on the bigger one. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to copy the DVD to the partition, Mac Disk Management didn`t worked for me. I used this for DSDT http://tinyurl.com/c9de3b smbios.plist is the Chameleon One. Kexts i used: Disabler.kext(Chameleon), fakesmc 2.5 http://netkas.org/?p=338 an some else. i made a zip with my kexts from /Extra folder in in it, find it in attachements To fix permissions /Extra i used mkext Tool. The VoodooHDA is the one from here: http://osx86.net/f57/voodoohda-64bit-t3828/ It didn`t worked for me to use it in /Extra folder, I had to copy it to S/L/E to get it workin. Same with Ethernet kext from here: http://www.kexts.com/view/13-intel82566mm_(32--64-bit).html To get USB running I used the fix for com.apple.Boot.plist: <key>EHCIacquire</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>UHCIreset</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>Yes</string> I get Graphics working with GFX String using this: http://aquamac.proboards.com/index.cgi?boa...&thread=509 So everything was fine!!! Thanks to all the developers of the kexts and stuff. Then i updated to 10.6.3->Restart and got the efi_inject_get_devprop_string null message from Chameleon after it boots /Extra. tried it again using -f and get into Snow everything seems fine, the same as with 10.6. How can I rid of that message, does anyone know what to do? Extensions.zip
iciolozzo
Thanks FLX_EI. On DQ45CB board I got 100% working except for Shutdown and Sleep. Everytime I try, I got a reboot for both. Any hint?

I also discovered that my USB are now recognized as Extension Slot. Is that the issue? How can I fix DSDT?
